Welcome to the new Rhythm Dance!


What a difference a year makes. We've been working hard on website upgrades all summer and the finished product is finally here! Rhythm Dance is pleased to present our new and improved website! Aside from an updated facade, we've made some changes to make your lives easier. First is the news bar, the handy column at the right of the screen. Check back here to keep up with the most up-to-date Rhythm Dance news! We also have good news for teachers. With the new Rhythm Dance website, dancer registration is easier than ever! You can create a free user account with us and submit dancer entries automatically.

Rhythm Dance is giving the gift of music! New for the 2009 season are Rhythm Dance MP3 cards awarded to intermediate and senior performers. Download your favourite tunes and pump up the volume - with Rhythm Dance!
Despite our new facelift, Rhythm Dance still prides itself on professional and courteous competition execution across Canada. And - we still believe in awarding excellence in dance. Our scholarships are among the highest in the industry. In 2008, over $70,000 in Cash Scholarships was awarded at 8 locations! Groups & Lines earned over $10,000 in Gift Cards for Studio Directors and every dancer received an Individual Award. Rhythm believes in giving back!

We are currently gathering information on past Rhythm dancers, to showcase in our "Where Are They Now" section. If you have any information on anyone who has participated at Rhythm Dance and has pursued a performance-related career, please contact us so that we can pay tribute to their accomplishments. Please email a bio as well as a high resolution photo.

Rhythm Dance will continue our partnership with DRC Video Productions for the 2009 season. Video Judge means the end of hundreds of cassette tapes and CDs with adjudicator comments, replaced with a single DVD utilizing our state-of-the-art video and audio recording system. Multiple audio tracks coupled with a powerful menu system allow teachers and students to listen to the judges' comments while viewing the actual performance.

Rhythm is giving you the option to complete your entries on-line to reduce paper usage and save you time! Available mid-November.


2008-10-26 - AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR
Rhythm Dance 2008 focused on 'dancing for the heart' and has donated an AED to the Humanities Theatre at the University of Waterloo. The AED will be installed later this month.
